In 2017, Matrix Aviation approached Modular Energy Solution with a unique challenge: constructing sleeping shelters for Arctic mining sites. The extreme cold and harsh weather conditions posed significant difficulties in finding suitable shelters that could withstand the bitter Arctic temperatures without damaging the delicate permafrost.

Recognizing our expertise in this field, Matrix Aviation sought our assistance. Since then, we have been supplying them with multiple sleep units tailored specifically for lodging in the Arctic and other remote northern regions of Canada, where temperatures can plummet as low as -50°C.
Through our collaboration, Matrix Aviation has been able to provide their mining camp residents with top-notch sleep shelters customized to meet their individual needs. Equipped with the knowledge and skills acquired from our training, they can now swiftly construct these shelters on-site. This newfound capability has not only streamlined their operations but also eliminated thermal bridging concerns, ensuring optimal insulation and comfort for their residents.
Since 2017, MES has been supplying customized lodging for mining camp workers in a remote Arctic region.
